ST. WILFRID, HONINGTON
Minutes
of the Parochial Church Council held on Thursday 23rd March 2006 at
7.30pm in the Church
1. Minutes. Minutes of the Meeting held on 16th November, 2005 were read, confirmed and signed by the Chairman.
2. Matters Arising.
a) Thanks were expressed to Mrs J Griffin who had organised a Quiz Evening on the 26th November, 2005 but unfortunately it clashed with other commitments and was not as well attended as we had hoped.
b) It was reported that a Bridge Fund-Raiser was to take place again this year on 20th September, 2006 and Mrs C Paske is working with Mrs S Dauban and others to make this possible.
c) The Diocesan News Magazine/Paper is proving popular and we now receive three copies for use in this Parish.
3. Election of P.C.C. Secretary. There being no further nominations, Mr Tim Carter was elected and thanks were expressed to the out-going Secretary Mr J Henderson-Findlay.

Election of P.C.C. Treasurer. Again,
there being no further nominations, Mrs J Griffin was elected, with thanks to
her for all work done.
5.
Fabric Report. P.C.C.
members were again reminded of the report just submitted to the A.G.M. In addition, Mr T Carter requested permission
to cut the old wooden ladder in half to use for work in the Belfry. It was agreed by unanimous vote
6.
Correspondence. No
further action was taken on three items of correspondence relating to Fair
Trade, Gift Aid or Lay Discipleship. The
Gift Aid letter was to be given to our Treasurer.
7.
The Lovedon Deanery Synod Report. The Lovedon
Deanery Synod Report was given verbally.
8. Grass Cutting. Mr M Griffin has kindly agreed to continue cutting the Church grass. The P.C.C. approved with warmest thanks for a job so well done
9. Any Other Business. There was some discussion on the request of Mr T Carter for inclusion of the P.C.C. Minutes in the Village Website. It was agreed that a brief Summary report of the Meetings should be put on the Village Website.
10. Date of Next Meeting. The date for our next meeting is to be agreed with our new Secretary, Mr T Carter and then P.C.C. members notified of the date, time and venue.
